REACH Rainforest Parent Night
Last week our R.E.A.C.H. program hosted The Nashville Zoo: Rainforest Animals. What a fabulous evening we had. The night began with Robin from the Nashville Zoo sharing 3 animals from the Rainforest with parents and students. There was a Boa Constrictor, Hyacinth Macaw, and Kinkajou (Honey Bear). It was so interesting to learn about the amazing animals while they were right there at our school! After the program the students and parents went on a Rainforest Non-Fiction Scavenger Hunt. Rainforest fact cards were located throughout the hallways. Parents and students used these fact cards to answer the Scavenger Hunt questions. When they were finished, they stopped by the front lobby to get a bag of animal crackers, parent non-fiction flyer, and a Rainforest take home reader. We were so excited to have 437 parents/students attend. The evening could not have been as successful with out the enormous help from our parapros and GES teachers and staff. Check out the photos below of all the great GES family fun and learning.
